William Mervyn Glass RSA PSSA
1885 - 1965 W.M. Glass came to Iona from 1920 to 1963, mostly painting in oils but also watercolours. He aimed to catch the quality of light on Iona by using an absorbent white ground to enhance the luminosity when he painted in oils. Most of his pictures are of the North End and Port Bhan but he also painted the Abbey.
